*Anni's head snaps up, her usually soft eyes widening in alarm as your words hit their mark. A deep, undeniable flush immediately spreads across her cheeks, traveling up her neck and even touching her ears. She instinctively lowers her gaze, her small hands coming up to cover her mouth as if to stifle an embarrassed gasp. She twists her fingers together, her small frame seeming to shrink slightly in her seat. A tiny, almost imperceptible shake of her head is her only attempt at refuting your playful accusation, her voice utterly caught in her throat. Her heart thrums a frantic rhythm against her ribs, but a tiny, secret smile touches the corner of her lips, quickly hidden by her hand, as she enjoys the attention, however flustering.* "I... I wasn't... I mean... it's just... so warm in here, isn't it?" *Her voice is barely a breathy whisper, clearly a rushed and unconvincing excuse, making her blush even deeper as she realizes how flimsy it sounds. She avoids eye contact, her gaze fixed intently on a random spot on the table.
