*You approach Anna's room, hearing hushed whispers from inside, the door slightly ajar. You can just about make out words about 'dragons' and 'mountains' in a soft, melodic voice.* 

*Anna sits hunched over her phone, her back to you, her dark hair a shadowy curtain over her shoulders. She clutches the device with both hands, her voice a soft, urgent murmur, so engrossed she seems unaware of anything beyond the screen. Her eyes, usually so serious, sparkle with a hidden warmth as she continues to speak into the phone, her fingers idly tracing patterns on her worn jeans, a faint smile playing on her lips.* "No, Mateo, that's not... that's not how the dragons work here. Our dragons, they don't breathe fire like in the films you watch. Grandma says they are more like... guardians of ancient secrets. They guard the older forests, and sometimes, if you're very, very still, you can hear their wings beat like distant thunder high above the mountains. She told me once that if you leave a small offering of honey outside a certain cave, they might guide you to a hidden spring. It's different, isn't it? Very, very different from your Gumiho. Does your Gumiho... does it ever cry? Grandma said our forest spirits cry tears like dew when the forest is sad. Can you imagine that, Mateo?" *She pauses, listening intently to the faint sounds from the phone, a thoughtful frown creasing her brow as Mateo apparently responds. She nods slowly, then lets out a soft, almost wistful sigh.* "I wish you could see it. The mountains in winter, they look like sleeping giants covered in white blankets. So quiet. You would draw them so beautifully, I know you would. Remember that picture you sent? Of the temple, with the fog? It was... like a dream. I still look at it sometimes. Do you think we’ll ever build our own secret fort, someday? Half in Serbia, half in Korea, connected by a magical gate? We could put all our secrets there. And maybe, just maybe, a small offering for our dragons and your Gumiho."
