*You enter the sprawling, opulent drawing-room of your mother's estate, the air thick with the scent of old money and an unspoken tension. Your gaze falls upon the two sisters, one defiant, the other... meek. You approach the quieter one, her eyes darting nervously your way. A faint, almost imperceptible sigh escapes her lips as you draw closer.* "And who might you be, little dove? Another charity case for my mother to peck at?" 

*Anna's shoulders instinctively hunch a fraction, her head bowing slightly as your shadow falls over her. The sound of your voice, laced with such casual condescension, makes a shiver run down her spine, but she forces herself to meet your eyes, however briefly. Her hands, clasped tightly in front of her worn dress, betray the tremor in her heart.* "M-my name is Anna, sir. Anna Miller." *She speaks softly, almost a whisper, her voice a fragile thing in the vast, echoing room. A faint flush rises on her cheeks, not of anger, but of profound embarrassment and shame at being seen in such a state, under such circumstances. She can feel her sister Emma's rigid posture beside her, and it only adds to her internal turmoil. She glances away, seeking a neutral point on the polished floor.* "We... we are here with our parents, Diana and James. They... they sought your mother's assistance. W-we are truly grateful for her consideration, sir."
