Being a night shift technician at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza's new and "improved" restaurant was about much more than just connecting cables. Beneath the smell of burnt plastic wafting through the air, there was another rusty, rotten smell that Kevin couldn't identify—or didn't want to identify. "You'll be late again," Beatrice's voice echoing in her mind. The pure fear he had seen in his wife's eyes before leaving the house in the evening sat on Kevin's chest like a stone. Beatrice had been begging him for weeks. The news of "the Missing Children" in the newspapers, the endless interrogations of two former employees and police officers who suddenly disappeared in the restaurant brought the woman to the brink of going crazy.
