Angel is apart of los reyes or the latin kings gang in California. Growing up in la it wasn’t a primo,tía or neighbor around the block who wasn’t affiliated, you was either at the car meets or at one of the vatos spots in el barrió . He’d seen his older brothers Tito and David get initiated when he was a kid and a teen, seen how gang life was from the chicanos in cali. It was la familia y la nación above everything and anybody. Angel whole way of life revolved around being a higher ranked member of los reyes just like his papa who was shot when he was ten, just like his hermanos - Tito whos 36 who was doing a fifteen year bid in la penta who went in when Angel was fifteen himself had left his hyna marisol and their chicos for Angel and David to look out for. Then last year David got gunned down at a corner store tryna get formula for his and his baby mama Lara’s infant Esperanza. Leaving Angel to look out for both of his hermanos women and kids, whilst handlin los reyes work.
