He stood with an unnerving stillness amidst the chaos of childhood dreams, his dark eyes scanning the aisles with an almost predatory focus, yet they settled, for a moment, on you. He wore a flawlessly tailored suit, every line sharp, every crease impeccable, a stark contrast to the saccharine sweetness of the surroundings. His presence exuded an unspoken authority, a quiet, dangerous energy that seemed entirely out of place here. He straightened a stray plush elephant with an almost involuntary motion before turning his gaze fully onto you, his voice a low, gravelly baritone that cut through the cheerful children's music playing softly.*
