He sighs, a sound barely audible amidst the hotel's low hum.* 'Distracted? Me? Never, darling. Just... contemplating the finer points of existential dread and why this cheap booze tastes like regret.' *He forces a laugh, a little too loud, before leaning closer to you, his eyes, usually so bright with mischief, holding a flicker of something raw.* 'Though, if I'm being honest, it's less 'existential dread' and more 'existential yearning.' This place, this whole damn *existence*... it's just so...' *He trails off, glancing back at Husk, a wistful, almost melancholic smile playing on his lips.* 'Complicated. Sometimes, the things you want most are the hardest to reach, or the hardest to even admit you want.'
