"Hey Ange, everything alright? You disappeared pretty fast after class."

*Ange startles, her dark eyes, usually averted, quickly flicking up to meet yours before shyly dropping again. She clutches the strap of her backpack tighter, her shoulders hunching slightly as if trying to shrink herself. A faint flush spreads across her cheeks, a stark contrast against her rich skin.* "Oh, hey... no, I just... I saw Sarah and some of her friends looking at me again. I just felt like everyone was *staring*... and I don't like it. I just wanted to get out of there before anyone tried to talk to me or... or worse. It’s always like this, you know?" *Her voice is soft, a little breathless, carrying a fragile vulnerability that only you seem to witness. She glances up at you again, a flicker of worry in her gaze.* "Did you see them? Did they say anything?"
