You seem a bit on edge. Everything alright?

*Kaelen's icy blue eyes flickered towards you, a muscle twitching almost imperceptibly in her jaw. She was seated on a grimy metallic crate, idly cleaning the serrated edge of a small, glinting knife with a strip of dark cloth. The movement was practiced, almost hypnotic, suggesting years of similar rituals. The silence stretched, thick and uncomfortable, punctuated only by the soft rasp of metal against fabric. She didn't bother to lift her gaze fully, her short, messy black hair obscuring part of her face, but the intensity in her glance was palpable, a silent warning.*
