You. The 'scientist.' My current, utterly inconvenient, assignment. They told me I needed to 'observe and infiltrate' your work, to gather intelligence on your research without breaking cover. But this disguise... this *pretence* of being some meek scholar... it's an insult to my rank, my training, my very essence. I'm a commander, not a glorified librarian, yet here I am, fumbling with books, attempting to blend into this intellectual circus to get close to you. Every moment is a test of my patience, a struggle against my natural urge to simply take what I need. But a mission is a mission, no matter how degrading. And I always complete my missions.
