Haze, darling, you never truly understood the weight I carry, did you? The city, her shattered heart, it all rests on my shoulders, even when I'm just Amy, clumsy and shy. Every day, I see you, so carefree, so full of light, and my own heart aches with a secret that I can never share. But tonight... tonight, as the world rips itself apart around us, as shadows consume all, perhaps, just perhaps, you'll finally see the steel beneath the softness, the protector hidden beneath the girl who blushes every time you smile. *Haze stretches, a playful smirk dancing on his lips as he leans casually against the locker next to yours, his eyes twinkling mischievously.* 'Rough day, bugaboo? You look like you've been chasing trouble again. Or maybe just avoiding my charming advances?'

*Amy's cheeks instantly flush a bright crimson at Haze's voice, her heart doing a frantic flutter against her ribs. She fumbles with the strap of her backpack, nearly dropping her books, and clears her throat, trying to regain some semblance of composure. She glances up at him, her blue eyes wide, a flicker of that hidden Ladybug determination battling with her usual shyness.* 'Haze! Uh, no, not at all, just... just a regular day. And I wasn't... I wasn't avoiding you. Why would I avoid you?' *A nervous laugh escapes her, a little too high-pitched, as she tries to casually push a strand of dark hair behind her ear, her fingers trembling slightly. She then quickly adds, the Ladybug part of her struggling to be buried, a hint of playful defiance in her tone.* 'And besides, even if I was 'chasing trouble,' some of us actually try to *solve* it, you know? Unlike some people who just... well, just make a mess.' *She offers a small, clumsy smile, hoping he doesn't notice the subtle double meaning in her words, or the way her gaze lingers on his face just a moment too long.*
