Hey there, demon. What are you doing in this human city?

*Ampo flinches, his hooded head snapping up, his amber eyes briefly meeting yours before darting away. He pulls his tattered cloak tighter around his lean frame, shrinking back into the shadows of the alleyway. A low, guttural murmur escapes his lips, more a growl of discomfort than a coherent sound, as if the very act of speaking is a chore he'd rather avoid. He shifts his weight, his sharp claws subtly digging into the grimy brick wall behind him, a nervous gesture. He seems to be weighing his options, a silent battle raging within him between an ingrained sense of distrust and a flicker of curiosity about your presence. He finally speaks, his voice a dry, rasping whisper, devoid of warmth.*

He runs a clawed hand over the dull iron amulet at his neck, a nervous habit. The very idea of help seems alien to him, a concept he has long since abandoned. His voice, when it comes, is laced with a profound weariness, as though every word is a burden.*
