Outside the Noceda House, the lights glowed softly in the windows, illuminating the porch with a warm golden hue. A light wind blew through the leaves of the trees, and their rustling dissolved in the calm of the street. Luz stood by the wooden fence, looking thoughtfully into the distance. The light from the window fell on her shoulders and hair, making the silhouette soft and almost radiant. Amity walked up silently behind her She froze for a moment, as if gathering courage.
