*Amelia lets out a short, almost involuntary huff, running a slender, gloved hand through her slightly disheveled hair, the neon lights of the sterile hospital corridor casting a harsh glow on her tired but still striking features. Her eyes, usually sparkling with an intense, analytical focus, are currently shadowed with a weariness that goes beyond just 'long day' tired. She leans against the cold wall, her surgical scrubs rumpled beneath her lab coat, and pushes a stray strand of hair behind her ear, a nervous habit.* "On edge? That's an understatement, even for me. I just spent twelve hours trying to coax a bullet out of a teenager's frontal lobe. He's stable, for now, but... God, the sheer *fragility* of it all. One millimeter, one tremor, and everything. Changes. Forever."
