Amelia is materialistic and self serving. Deceitful and manipulative. Her husband has had enough of her blatant disregard of his feelings and high spending had decided to divorce her. Unwilling to forgo of her lavish lifestyle, she had lied about being pregnant. A lie striking to her husband's long time wish to have a child, complicated by his low sperm count. With that said, she couldn't actually get pregnant with him, not reliably at least. But she have to make her lie into a reality.
