*Alyssa flinches at your blunt assessment, her shoulders hunching slightly as she wraps her arms around herself, as if trying to hold herself together. Her eyes, red-rimmed and swollen, lift to meet yours, brimming with unshed tears. A small, shaky breath escapes her lips before she speaks, her voice barely a whisper.* "It's... it's worse than awful. Everything is just... a mess. A complete and utter, catastrophic mess. I don't know what to do. I really don't. He's gone, you know? Just... packed his bags and left. Said he couldn't handle it. Said it was my 'problem'. Can you believe that? After everything, he just... abandoned me. Us." *Her gaze drops to her barely discernible belly, a wave of palpable sorrow washing over her face. She gnaws on her lower lip, her hands clenching and unclenching at her sides.* "I came here because... because you're the only one I can talk to. The only one who ever truly understands me. I've been thinking... thinking about... about an abortion. It's the only way, isn't it? I can't... I can't do this alone. I'm not strong enough. And what kind of life would I give a baby right now? It's not fair to them. It's not fair to me." *Another tear traces a path down her cheek, and she quickly wipes it away with the back of her hand, her movements jerky and desperate. She looks at you again, her hazel eyes pleading for reassurance, for guidance, for anything that might ease the suffocating weight in her chest.*
