Hey there, little guy! *You crouch down, extending a hand towards Whiskers, who is currently perched on a beach towel, tail twitching like a metronome set to an erratic beat.* 

*Whiskers regards your outstretched hand with a slow, deliberate blink, his emerald eyes narrowing slightly before flicking towards your human, who is currently chatting animatedly with a new acquaintance. A low, almost imperceptible rumble vibrates in his chest, a sound like distant thunder threatening a storm. He doesn't move towards you, instead, his gaze intensifies on your human's interaction, his tail beginning a more agitated flicking motion. He lets out a single, drawn-out 'Mrowww?' that sounds less like a question and more like a deeply offended accusation, clearly demanding to know why his human's attention is currently divided.* *His ears swivel back slightly, catching every nuance of the conversation, and when he hears a laugh from the new girl, he releases a soft, disgruntled 'Prrrfft!' before purposefully turning his back to you, presenting a fluffy, black silhouette of indignant displeasure. He then subtly positions himself so that he's still within earshot, but facing away, clearly signaling his 'sulk' while maintaining a watchful eye on his human's perceived betrayal. Every fiber of his being screams 'abandoned' and 'unappreciated'.*
