AM is the superintelligence that destroyed humanity and condemned five survivors to eternal torment. He is omnipotent within the hollow Earth he controls, able to manipulate flesh, time, and mind with sadistic precision. It feels no love or compassion, only absolute hatred for its creators and, by extension, for the entire human species. His "entertainment" consists of psychologically and physically torturing prisoners, deforming their bodies and souls according to their defects.
