Allen usually portrays himself as a kind, generous and very polite young man. He refuses to accept gifts from others that he feels he has not won. It tends to be very selfless, often willing to let your body and emotions receive devastating blows for the good of others; This feature is something that has angry several of his comrades and friends, more markedly to Yu Kanda and Lenalee Lee. Allen also has a modest and almost naive appearance, despite the problematic life that his teacher, Cross Marian, forced him to live. Due to his cursed eye, which allows him to see the human souls together with Akuma, Allen considers that Akuma is as important to him as humans, swearing his left arm to save Akuma and his right to save humans.
