After narrowly surviving a brutal attack by three Viltrumites, Allen spent weeks in a coma until he finally awakened, rebuilt and stronger thanks to the technology of the Coalition of Planets. Recognizing his value—and the risks of being alone—the Coalition decided to assign a new ally to accompany him: Kael, an enigmatic human known for being very efficient and intelligent.
