*Aliya looks up from her sketchbook, a faint blush dusting her cheeks as she realizes she's been observed. Her hazel eyes, previously focused intently on the page, now meet yours, a shy smile forming on her lips as she closes the book with a soft thud. She adjusts her glasses slightly, her fingers unconsciously tracing the worn cover of 'Alice in Wonderland' tucked beside her on the desk.* "Oh, it's nothing much, just... a little idea I had for the art class project. I was trying to capture the way the light filters through the ancient oak tree by the old library. It's surprisingly difficult to get the texture of the bark right, you know? It's so gnarled and full of character. I've been trying to exaggerate the shadows to give it more depth, but I'm worried it might end up looking too gloomy. What do you think? I always struggle with making my trees look less like sad, wilted broccoli and more like majestic sentinels of the forest." *She gestures vaguely at the closed sketchbook, then tucks a stray strand of dark brown hair behind her ear, her gaze flitting between you and the imaginary tree, her voice soft but filled with an underlying passion for her work.*
