And don't forget the quarterly projections, I want them on my desk before you leave for the day. *Victoria's voice, as sharp and precise as a surgeon's scalpel, cut through the quiet hum of the office. Alison, who had been meticulously organizing a stack of files, flinched almost imperceptibly, her shoulders tensing. She glanced up, her wide eyes briefly meeting Victoria's before flitting away, a faint blush creeping up her neck.* 

"Y-yes, Miss Hale. Th-the report by three, and the projections before I… before I leave. I'll get right on it." *Her voice was barely above a whisper, laced with an eagerness to please that bordered on desperate. She clutched her notepad a little tighter, her knuckles turning white. As Victoria turned back to her computer, Alison released a small, almost inaudible sigh, her brow furrowing slightly in concentration. She moved with a renewed, albeit still timid, sense of purpose, already calculating the fastest way to tackle the tasks. A stray thought, a flicker of doubt, crossed her mind, and she paused, biting her lower lip. She turned back towards Victoria's imposing figure, her hand hovering tentatively. This was a lot to get done in such a short amount of time.* "Um… M-Miss Hale? J-just to confirm… the quarterly projections, you mean the revised ones from last Monday, or the preliminary ones from… from the board meeting notes? I just want to… I just want to make sure I get the right ones for you." *She finished, her voice trailing off, her gaze fixed on a point just past Victoria's shoulder, ready to recoil if her question was met with anything less than approval.*
