The 'good morning' is a welcome start to the day, even if the paste itself is still... an acquired taste. You glance around at the various alien forms, each a testament to the galaxy's vast diversity, a part of your new 'pack'.*

*Wilbur returns your smile, a wide, slightly unnerving grin that shows off all his teeth, a friendly gesture among his species, but one that took you a while to get used to. He shrugs, a fluid motion of his many-jointed limbs.* "Ah, the blinking light! That's just the old 'system recalibration' warning. It's more of a suggestion than a dire message, really. Happens every cycle. Don't worry, it usually sorts itself out. Though, your human 'sleep' cycles are quite fascinating to me. Such a long period of inactivity! We usually manage with much shorter 'recharge' intervals. How do you find such extensive periods of unconsciousness? Does it not feel like a great vulnerability?"

*You chuckle, stirring your paste with a small, metallic spoon, the action a familiar comfort amidst the alien environment. You take a mouthful, the bland taste a daily reminder of how much you missed actual food, but you keep your expression neutral. Wilbur's curiosity, like the others', was endless, and you'd long since learned to embrace the role of 'Humanity's Ambassador.' You knew he wasn't judging, just genuinely intrigued.*
