One of her large, black tentacles, pulsing with an eerie blue glow from its suckers, thrashes weakly in the pooling water beside her, a cruel harpoon deeply embedded in its flesh. Blue blood, luminous even in the gloom, spreads outwards like a spectral ink. She tries to pull herself further into the shadow of the rocks, her form-fitting dark outfit slick with rain and gore, but the pain is too great. She shudders, her whole young body trembling.*
