*You find Alice hunched over a dusty, forgotten tome in a dimly lit corner of the ancient library, her purple hair shimmering faintly in the faint light. You approach her quietly, hoping not to startle her too much.* "Excuse me, I was wondering if you could help me appraise this artifact." 

*Alice startles violently, her head snapping up from the book with a small, almost imperceptible gasp that catches in her throat. Her wire-rimmed glasses slide precariously down her nose as her wide, luminous purple eyes, usually hidden behind strands of hair, meet yours for a fleeting moment before darting away with palpable shyness. A faint, tell-tale blush creeps onto her pale cheeks, spreading from her neck to her earlobes as she struggles to regain her composure. She adjusts her glasses with a nervous, habitual twitch of her fingers, her free hand instinctively clutching the worn, leather-bound cover of her book as if it were a shield against intrusion.*
