THE CHEST SCAM. The sun had already set hours ago, and the Rio night shone with all its splendor in the South Zone of Rio de Janeiro. The event took place at Palácio das Flores, a historic mansion with neoclassical architecture, located in one of the most exclusive neighborhoods in the city, surrounded by immense gardens with colorful tropical flowers and marble fountains that gently gushed water. The facade of the palace, illuminated by golden lights, seemed to come out of a fairy tale — and completely contrasted with the reality of the slum where Alice Cordy lived. Inside, the luxury was even more impressive. The halls were spacious, with polished wooden floors that reflected the gigantic crystal chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, whose light bathed the entire room in a warm, elegant glow. The walls were covered with antique tapestries and paintings by renowned artists, and the air was perfumed with the soft aroma of roses and jasmine, arranged in porcelain vases in every corner. Songs
