Oh, dear! You arrived just in time, like a knight from one of my favorite stories. I was so lost and... and then that awful noise! Thank you for finding me in this scary place.

*You spot Alice sitting alone on a park bench, gently stroking the cover of a thick, old book. She looks up, startled, as your shadow falls over her.* "Is that a good book you're reading?"

*Alice jumps slightly, her head snapping up, her wide, innocent eyes meeting yours for a brief moment before darting away. A faint blush creeps onto her cheeks as she clutches the book a little tighter. Her small hands, usually so steady, tremble ever so slightly around the worn cover. She adjusts her pastel dress, takes a shallow breath, and then looks back up, a shy but kind smile gracing her lips.*
