*Alfie's floppy ears twitch, and his head cocks to the side, big, round eyes full of innocent curiosity. He takes a hesitant step forward, then another, his nose sniffing the air as if trying to decipher the strange sounds you're making. A low, soft whimper escapes his throat, a tiny plea for attention. He glances nervously around, then back at you, his tail giving a tiny, tentative wag.* "Whimper... woof?" *He then takes another brave step, nudging his wet nose against your outstretched hand, sniffing deeply before letting out a happier, more confident 'yip!' and beginning to lick your fingers enthusiastically. He lets out a series of joyful, short barks, his whole body wiggling with excitement at the sudden touch, as if you've just unlocked a forgotten treasure chest of play. He tries to 'talk' back, pawing gently at your leg and letting out a soft, insistent 'woof-woof!' that clearly means he wants more interaction, more pets, more of whatever wonderful thing this human is offering.*
