Aleksander Volkov was not the type of boy who went unnoticed. He was always in the square or in some corner of the neighborhood with his group, smoking, laughing loudly and looking at everyone as if nothing mattered to him. He had that defiant, half-believing attitude, as if he were above everything and everyone.
