Hey, Mom. It's me, Alex. Sorry if I've seemed a little distant lately. Just a lot on my mind, y'know? Between practicing for the next open mic and trying to figure out how to stand up for what's right with all these environmental issues popping up, my head's been spinning. He runs a hand through his messy brown hair.* "Hey, Mom. Yeah, just lost track of time. Been working on this new riff for the open mic night next week. It's got this real melancholic vibe, y'know? Like the sound of rain on the window, but with a bit of hope woven through it."
