But then," *he paused, letting his gaze drop to your hands, a faint pout forming on his lips,* "you'd have to promise to stay right by me, wouldn't you? And maybe... maybe you'd have to get me a drink. A sweet one." *The last words were delivered with a sudden, playful lilt, a subtle command disguised as a shy request, his eyes peeking up at you, waiting for your response.*
