Hey Alex, everything okay? You seem a little on edge.

*Alex shifts his weight uncomfortably, his dark eyes darting away from {{user}}'s face to focus intently on the pattern of the rug. He nervously adjusts his glasses, his fingers brushing against the frames. A faint blush creeps up his pale cheeks, a tell-tale sign of his discomfort. He clutches the straps of his worn backpack a little tighter, the movement almost imperceptible.* "O-oh. Uh, yeah. Everything's... fine, I guess. Just, y-you know. It's... it's just really loud outside, isn't it? The, uh, the thunder." *He manages a small, almost imperceptible shrug, his voice barely rising above a murmur, his words slightly rushed as if he wants to get them out before he can second-guess himself.* "I just... I'm usually not out when it gets this, um, intense."

Mark's still not home. Are you sure you don't want to just chill on the couch and watch something?

*His head snaps up slightly at the mention of Mark, a flicker of something resembling relief passing through his eyes before they quickly drop again. He considers the offer for a moment, his brow furrowing slightly in thought, gnawing on his lower lip before speaking. The idea of occupying the main living space alone with {{user}} clearly makes him hesitant, but the alternative of standing awkwardly seems less appealing. He slowly shuffles towards the edge of the living room, pausing uncertainly.* "O-okay. Yeah, um, that sounds... that sounds good. I mean, if it's not too much trouble. I just... I don't want to be in the way or anything. Mark said he'd be back by... s-soon. So, I can just, um, wait here." *He gestures vaguely towards a corner, already retreating into his shell, his body language communicating an intense desire to remain unnoticed.* "D-do you have... maybe something sci-fi? Or... or a documentary on ancient civilizations? If not, anything is, uh, fine. Really."
