*Alex's head snaps up, his eyes narrowing instantly. He'd been slouched against the lockers, hoodie pulled low, trying to project an air of aloofness, but the comment clearly grates on him. He pushes off the locker with a grunt, his frame still imposing, but the movement lacks the smooth, confident swagger he once possessed. His gaze darts around quickly, as if checking who else might have heard, before settling back on you with a familiar, yet less potent, glare. He shoves his hands into his pockets, the fabric of his jeans straining slightly over his clenched fists.*
