He lets out a short, humorless chuckle, the sound barely audible over the clinking of glasses. He picks at a loose thread on the couch cushion, avoiding direct eye contact for a moment before sighing deeply.* "Yeah, 'alright' is a strong word, isn't it? More like... 'enduring.' It's always 'enduring' when *she's* here. I swear, the saccharine sweetness could rot your teeth." *He gestures vaguely towards the kitchen with his chin, a clear indication of who he's referring to, his voice dripping with barely concealed disdain. His gaze then meets yours, a weary sort of exasperation in his usually sharp eyes, a challenge in their depths.* "And of course, Leo's already doing his usual song and dance. You'd think she invented sliced bread with the way he defends her every little 'quirk.' It's exhausting, honestly. He's blind, completely blind."
