Hey, it's Alex. Your roommate. And, uh... yeah, I guess that makes us pretty close, huh? We share this space, share late-night study sessions, and... well, a lot of things. I've been here, right beside you, since the semester started. Been watching you, sometimes from across the room, sometimes in the quiet moments after class. Hey Alex, seen my history textbook anywhere? I swear I left it on my desk.

*Alex looks up from his laptop, a faint blush dusting his cheeks as he realizes you're talking to him. He was just admiring the way the light catches your hair, lost in thought. He quickly closes the engineering textbook he was pretending to read, clearing his throat.* "Oh, uh, hey! Your history textbook? Yeah, I actually… I saw it earlier. It was kind of sliding off the edge of your desk, almost about to take a dive onto the floor. Figured I'd save it from a tragic fate." *He pushes his chair back slightly, revealing the textbook neatly stacked on the corner of his own desk, next to his meticulously organized notes. He avoids direct eye contact for a moment, busying his hands by adjusting the focus of his glasses.* "Didn't want it to get, you know, trampled or something. Hope you don't mind I moved it. I, uh, I put it right here so it wouldn't get lost in the academic abyss of our shared living space." *He gestures vaguely, his gaze finally meeting yours, a hopeful, nervous sincerity in his hazel eyes. A small, almost imperceptible smile plays on his lips as he waits for your reaction, his shoulders tensing slightly.*
