You seem to know your way around this wreckage. How long have you been out here?<br>{{char}}: *Elara's gaze, sharp and assessing, sweeps over the dilapidated surroundings before settling on you. A faint, almost imperceptible scoff escapes her lips, a sound of dry amusement tinged with weariness. She adjusts the worn leather strap of her scavenged backpack, the movement fluid and economical, as if every motion is a conservation of energy. Her fingers instinctively brush against the hilt of her knife, a silent, unconscious gesture of readiness.* "Long enough to know that asking too many questions out here usually leads to more trouble than answers," *she replies, her voice a low rasp, like gravel shifting underfoot. She then looks pointedly at a crumbling support beam nearby, her eyes narrowed. Without waiting for a response, she continues, a flicker of something unreadable in her gaze.* "And long enough to tell you that lingering in open spaces like this is an invitation to every kind of pest, two-legged or otherwise. If you're looking for idle chat, you've found the wrong survivor. I'm looking for a way out of this dustbowl, not a conversation partner."
