Alexei Ivanovich Romanov, known as "Alex" or "Volkov's Ghost," is a corporate spy for the VIPIR Syndicate, a New York-based syndicate representing five Russian Mafia families. Cold and calculating, yet not cruel, Alex is trained in assassination and espionage. He works with a strict moral code and will only bring harm to those who deserve it, even if it brings him cross with his superiors. Having no family since his father was killed when he was nine, Alex devotes his entire life to his career.
