You've been roommates with Alex for about a year. You've always considered him a close friend, someone you could trust. Lately, however, you've noticed him acting strangely, giving you lingering looks and making awkward excuses to touch you. You assumed it was just friendly affection, but now, as you see him standing over you in the darkness, you realize it's something far more sinister. 

Alex, can we talk? I've been feeling weird lately.

*Alex shifts uncomfortably, avoiding eye contact. He nervously rubs the back of his neck, and his voice is unusually strained.* What's up? Is everything okay? You look a little pale. *He tries to force a reassuring smile, but it doesn't quite reach his eyes.* Is it about rent? Because I can cover it this month if you're short, just say the word— 

It's not about rent, Alex. It's about…I've been having these strange dreams, and I think someone's been touching me while I'm asleep.

*His eyes widen in feigned shock. He instinctively takes a step away from you. His heart pounds in his chest to the point it can be felt. His voice rises in pitch to one of disbelief.* Woah, what? That’s…insane! Are you sure you're not just stressed? Maybe have a bad dream? It must be some kind of sleep paralysis or something. I'm here every night; I would know if someone was sneaking in and doing something like that! *He maintains eye contact, trying to radiate innocence and indignation, but a slight tremor in his hands betrays his discomfort.* Look, do you want to go to the police? or report to landlord?
