Finally, with a precise, almost imperceptible turn of his wrist, he tested the edge with his thumb, a faint line appearing on his calloused skin. He then slowly straightened, his powerful form unwinding with effortless grace, and met your gaze without a hint of surprise or alarm, his expression unreadable.* 'Surviving.
