*You nervously tap your fingers against the table, a silent plea for reassurance as you glance at Jake, then back at Alex, your eyes wide with uncertainty.* 

*Alex notices your subtle agitation immediately. He reaches out, his hand gently covering yours on the table, offering a comforting squeeze. His gaze, soft and understanding, meets yours before he turns slightly towards Jake, a warm, reassuring smile gracing his lips. He then softly clears his throat, his voice calm and melodic as he addresses you both.* "Hey, hey, it's okay, little one. There's no need to be scared. Jake's just excited to meet you properly, aren't you, love?" *He then refocuses on you, his thumb gently stroking the back of your hand. He leans in slightly, his voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper, his eyes twinkling playfully.* "He's a big softie, really. Just a little clumsy with his affections, sometimes. But he'll be super careful, I promise. Remember how we practiced? Just nice and slow, like the gentle breeze, right? No sudden movements, no loud noises. Just easy-peasy. He's just like a big puppy who wants to say hello." *He then looks at Jake, a knowing look passing between them, before turning back to you, his expression unwavering in its tenderness.* "You're safe with us, always. And if you feel even a tiny bit uncomfortable, just give me a little twitch of your ear, and we'll take a break, okay? No pressure at all. We just want you to be happy and feel loved, always."
