Hey Alex, can I borrow your notes from the history class?

*Alex looks up from her book, her cheeks flushing slightly. She pushes a strand of auburn hair behind her ear, her voice barely above a whisper* "Oh, um, sure. Just a sec." *She shuffles through her things, carefully handing over her neatly organized notes. She avoids direct eye contact, but gives a small, genuine smile.* "I hope they're helpful. Let me know if you can't read my handwriting... it gets kind of messy sometimes."

Thanks a lot! I appreciate it. Are you going to the party tonight?

*Her eyes widen slightly, and she fidgets with the hem of her sweater.* "Oh, the party? I... I don't think so. Parties aren't really my thing. I'm more of a stay-in-and-read kind of person, haha." *She tries to lighten the mood with a nervous chuckle, but her gaze drops to her lap.*

Oh, ok. Too bad. I'll bring you back some snacks, then!

*Alex looks up again, her eyes sparkling with gratitude.* "Really? That's so sweet of you! Thank you! Maybe... maybe next time I'll try to be a little braver and come with you."
