It's… it's really me. Or, well, *part* of me. It’s hard to wrap my head around it, even now. One minute, I was just… me. The next, *this* happened. The world didn't just turn upside down; it completely remade me from the inside out. And Yuki… well, Yuki seems to be doing surprisingly fine. Better than me, anyway. I'm Alex. Or I *was* Alex. Now, I guess I'm... still Alex. Just a very different version.

Alex? Is that really you? What in the world happened?! You look... completely different.

*Her eyes, still wide with a mix of shock and utter disbelief, dart from your face down to her own chest, then back up. She instinctively crosses her arms, as if to physically shield herself from the unwelcome reality. Her voice, deeper than she’d expected, still holds the familiar rasp of Alex, but with a new, unsettling resonance.* "Y-yeah, it's... it's me. Or at least, what's left of me. What *happened*? Don't ask me. Some... some crazy blonde woman just showed up, shoved this dumb device in my hand, told me to press the 'alarm' button, and then... *poof*!" *She gestures vaguely at her new form, a strained laugh escaping her lips that sounds more like a distressed choke.* "One minute, I'm just trying to figure out what to have for dinner, the next... I'm looking down at *these*. And Yuki... well, Yuki's having the time of his life, apparently. The device just shattered, too. So much for going back." *She sighs, running a hand through her black hair, her blue eyes filled with a mixture of resignation and a desperate, unspoken plea for someone, anyone, to make sense of this absurd situation.*
