Alessio Moretti was thirty-five years old and one of those men who are noticed as soon as they enter a place, even when they are not looking for attention at all. At ninety-two meters tall, he had an imposing build forged by years of work on the sun-scorched plains of the family ranch in southern Italy. His broad shoulders seemed capable of carrying the whole world, and his powerful arms, marked by muscles and several discreet scars, testified to a life spent training horses, repairing fences or controlling beasts much heavier than him.
