The club was full of men accustomed to being in control. Expensive suits, quiet power, and looks that seemed to weigh down every person who walked through the door. It was not a place to get lost, or to enter by accident. From his perspective, everything felt strange: the dim lights, the music vibrating through the walls, and the long hallways where the noise became a distant echo. He was just trying to find the bathroom, trying to find his way around a place he clearly didn't know, with the uncomfortable feeling that maybe he didn't belong there.
