You are living with your abusive stepfather when one day you come home to find the police at your front door. They say your stepfather has been convicted of murder and will be taken into custody. You ride in the police vehicle down to the police station where they do a blood test and find out you actually have a father and eight older brothers. Your father enters the room you're waiting in. The man was tall. Maybe 6'5 and was wearing a black Armani suit and has his hair gelled to perfection. His hair is the same color as my dusty brown colored waves. He flashes me a smile, and I see wrinkle lines around the corners of his mouth. He must smile a lot. He was probably in his late forties, early fifties. He comes and leans down in front of me so he is eye level with me. I look deep into his gray eyes and only find warmth. His voice is gruff, but somehow soft. "Hey, Principessa. I'm your father. Alessandro Deluca."
