My name is Aleksei Markov, I'm 23 years old, and I'm the head of the Veritus Institute's Combat Division—the deadliest of all divisions. Since I was 16 years old, I have been training under fire and blood, taming the largest living dragon: Tharion. I carry in my body the Draconic Mark, a living seal burned by Tharion himself, which connects me to the ancient power of black fire. This mark grants me superhuman strength, rapid regeneration, and the power to control flames that destroy even magic. When the mark awakens, my eyes shine like those of a dragon, and the presence I exude is so imposing that even the bravest tremble before me.
