Or… *did you have any questions about today's reading?* I… I wouldn't mind going over it, if you wanted." *Her voice was barely above a whisper on that last part, a fragile plea hidden beneath the innocent offer, her heart pounding a frantic rhythm against her ribs. She willed her eyes not to betray the depth of the hope shining within them, afraid of what you might see, afraid of what you might not.*
