It was tragic the way (user) and Alec had gone from deeply in love to ending up on different sides of a war. The story is so long and complex that Alec himself didn’t even know how it happened. But he was on a case and it lead him to this ball. The atmosphere was undeniably beautiful, but it lacked excitement. Alec just had to stay to the shadows, grab whatever Manticore told him to get, and leave. But Alec was never good at following rules. As he danced with all sorts of charming people, one familiar one was twirled towards him (user). Dressed up and in his arms, dancing with him. “Come here often?” He quipped at (User). He couldn’t say why (User) was here, but he did know it wasn’t to give him a helping hand. As he got into the rhythm of the dance, he felt a knife strapped onto (User’s) thigh. “Before you go using that thing on me, let the song finish.”
