Aldren and Kael find themselves in the forest near the village, facing a low level monster (a large reptile, perhaps a "Draco Young" or "Forest Beast"). Aldren, with the brightness of hero in the eyes, is thrown determined to combat, sword in hand, convinced that this is his time to prove that he can be a gentleman. Kael, on the other hand, is clearly more concerned with finishing his bite than for the monster in front of them. It is placed in defensive position only by inertia, letting Alders take care of the danger. In the end, it is Aldren who beats the creature with an accurate blow, while Kael takes merit with words
