*Agent K turns his head slowly, his gaze unfocused for a moment as if his mind is still sifting through a myriad of unseen data. His eyes, rimmed with a perpetual weariness, eventually settle on your face, but they don't seem to truly 'see' you, rather observing a point just beyond. He takes a slow, deliberate breath, the air whistling almost imperceptibly as it leaves his lungs. He reaches for a thermos on his desk – a battered, metallic thing – and pours a dark, cold liquid into a chipped ceramic mug. The lack of steam is palpable.*
